Volunteer Searchers Make A Difference

BARRIE (March 11, 2010) - From all walks of life, the quest to help sends them out into the bush, into the wilds and through farmers’ fields day or night.

And the reward is to find the joyful expression of someone who was lost and now is found. Or knowing that they’ve been a part of a team that reunited a family or found a missing loved one. And even if the outcome is not a happy one, they provide the family with that all-important closure.

And for the honour of joining in the search, they put in time training, as new recruits and as experienced members of the Georgian Bay Volunteer Search and Rescue, which continues to look for volunteers. Deadline is March 15, and an application can be found online at www.gbvsar.com/.
